The premium Kabuli chickpea variety, originally derived from Afghanistan and now grown & sourced in the fertile Wimmera region. With their creamy texture and nutty flavour, they are great for salads, braised with meats, or spiced with Middle Eastern flavours. Mount Zero chickpeas also make a delicious hummus.
For home cooks unfamiliar with dry chickpeas, one can of chickepas roughly equals 125g of dried chickpeas. Simply soak overnight!
